Otunba Randle Re-elected as Secretariat Membership Club Elects New Executives for 2026–2028 Tenure

The Secretariat Club, Ikeja, on Sunday, January 25, 2026, conducted its membership elections at the club house located on Olabanji Atinuke Street, Ikeja, to elect officers for the 2026–2028 tenure.

The election followed immediately after the club’s 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM), with four key positions keenly contested: President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Financial Secretary.

In the presidential contest, incumbent President, Otunba Ayodeji Randle, secured re-election for a second term after narrowly defeating Pharm. Dimeji Falemi by 35 votes to 34. For the position of Vice President, Engr. Yomi Shogbolu emerged victorious with 46 votes, defeating Chief Stanley Odigie, who polled 24 votes.

Similarly, Prince Adesuyi Bepo won the General Secretary position with 37 votes against Chief Muyiwa Oremuyiwa’s 30 votes. The Financial Secretary race also proved tight, as Mr. Wale Macaulay edged past Mr. Agboola Ibidapo with 33 votes to 31.

According to the electoral officials, only 10 votes were declared invalid, while the process was adjudged free and fair, reflecting the active participation and democratic expression of club members.

A major highlight of the event was the administration of the oath of office on Otunba Ayodeji Randle by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Barr. Tayo Laleye, marking the commencement of his second term. Otunba Randle thereafter swore in the newly elected executive members of the Secretariat Club.

In his acceptance speech, Otunba Randle expressed gratitude to members for renewing their confidence in him and called for continued cooperation and support to advance the club’s growth and development. He noted that the victory was a collective achievement made possible by the members’ trust.
