The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, on Wednesday held a strategic revenue meeting with Area Officers and Revenue Officers across the council, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and reposition the LCDA’s revenue administration.

At the meeting, Hon. Adebanjo reiterated that the overhaul of the Onigbongbo revenue system remains a top priority of his administration. He disclosed that plans are underway to fully digitalise revenue collection in line with the Lagos State Government’s directive mandating all local councils to adopt digital processes to promote transparency, efficiency and accountability.

The chairman also revealed that the council is considering the deployment of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to support revenue operations, particularly in enumeration and data collection, to ensure accurate records and improved revenue planning.

Hon. Adebanjo charged revenue and area officers to discharge their duties with renewed commitment, professionalism and diligence, noting that effective revenue generation is central to the delivery of impactful governance and sustainable community development.

During an interactive session, the chairman invited the officers to identify tools required to enhance their operational efficiency. The officers requested the provision of laptops to support their work and facilitate the transition to a digital revenue system.

In response, Hon. Adebanjo immediately approved the request, assuring the officers that laptops would be provided to the area offices to strengthen capacity, improve productivity and support seamless digital revenue administration across the LCDA.
