The management and staff of Education District IV have formally welcomed the newly appointed Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), Mr. Olufemi Bamidele Paseda, following his appointment by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
At a brief but colourful ceremony held at the District Conference Room, the outgoing TG/PS, Mr. Olusegun Osinaike, alongside principals, education officers, and staff, expressed delight over the appointment, describing it as a testament to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to merit, excellence, and continuity in public service.
In his farewell remarks, Mr. Osinaike thanked the Governor for his visionary leadership in strengthening the education sector through the selection of capable and dedicated professionals.
He commended the staff and stakeholders of Education District IV for their cooperation during his tenure and urged them to extend the same support to Mr. Paseda.
“Education District IV is blessed with hardworking staff, committed principals, and vibrant students. With your experience and dedication, I’m confident you will take the district to greater heights,” he said.
In his response, Mr. Olufemi Bamidele Paseda expressed deep appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for the trust reposed in him and pledged to uphold the district’s legacy of excellence. He promised to focus on teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance teaching and learning outcomes across schools under the district.
Staff and education stakeholders present at the event, including representatives of ANCOPSS, NUT, and the District IV Parents’ Forum, pledged their full cooperation and expressed optimism that the new leadership will sustain the district’s tradition of excellence and innovation.
Dignitaries in attendance included Dr. Olufunke Oyetola, TG/PS, Education District I; Mr. Abiodun Hassan, TG/PS, Education District V; and Mrs. Anike Adekanye, retired TG/PS, Education District II.
The event concluded with goodwill messages, group photographs, and a renewed commitment to advancing Governor Sanwo-Olu’s vision for a technology-driven and globally competitive Lagos education system.
