The Nigeria Youth Coalition, a socio-political organization, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made on Sunday in Lagos during a rally aimed at raising awareness about PVC collection and voter participation.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade , Director General of TINUBU-AMBO Support Group, reiterated the group’s commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
Bamigbade reiterated his endorsement of former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, for a return in the 2027 governorship election, stressing that both leaders possess the requisite capacity to drive sustained progress at the federal and state levels.
He noted that “President Tinubu has laid a solid foundation for Nigeria’s transformation, and the task before us is to consolidate on these gains,”
The DG further emphasized, “In Lagos State, we believe that Akinwunmi Ambode represents competence, continuity and proven leadership. Together, Tinubu at the federal level and Ambode at the state level will accelerate development and bring renewed hope to our people.”
Dr. Dauda Abdullahi, National Coordinator of the coalition, emphasized President Tinubu’s accomplishments since taking office in 2023, while speaking to the large gathering of youths.
He highlighted the administration’s focused efforts to position young Nigerians at the forefront of national development.
According to Dr. Abdullahi, President Tinubu has increased opportunities for youths to excel in entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation, while also broadening the country’s infrastructure base to unlock new economic opportunities.
He noted that the government’s ongoing investments in agriculture, health, and education are essential for driving inclusive growth, reducing poverty, and positioning Nigeria as a leading economy in Africa.
“President Tinubu has shown that he has the political will and vision to create opportunities for the younger generation,”
Dr. Bamidele said. “From the expansion of infrastructure to investments in critical sectors like agriculture, healthcare and education, his policies are targeted at building a better future for Nigerians. It is on this basis that we believe he remains the best option to lead the country beyond 2027.”
The rally, which brought together youths, community leaders, and political stakeholders, also served as a forum to raise awareness and encourage eligible Nigerians, particularly first-time voters, to obtain their PVCs before the elections.
Organizers stressed that voter participation was the most effective way to strengthen democracy and amplify the voices of young people in governance.
