The League of Former Ward Chairmen for the Progressives in the Ikeja Federal Constituency has promised to deploy their experience to motivate and mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
The league comprising former ward Chairmen from 1999 to date made this assertion when they paid a consultative visit to the Chairman of the APC Ikeja Chapter and Chairman of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State, Mayeigun Dally Adekunle Adeokun on Thursday at the APC Ikeja Secretariat, Anifowose, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Grassroots Managers as they’re fondly addressed used the occasion to unveil their plans to motivate and mobilize the grassroots in support of all the APC Candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The Coordinator of the League, Comrade Tayo Aderinola also stated that “Ikeja Federal Constituency, is the political base of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, hence all hands must be on deck to achieve resounding victories for our inestimable leader and mentor, the Aare Apese Oselu of Africa and diaspora, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who deserves every supports of all that desired a greater Nigeria, because of his political antecedents and passion for having a Nigeria we’re all yearning for”.
“It is also noteworthy the immense and topnotch quality representation of our Member House of Representatives Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke, whose JAF Empowerment programme is second to none across the country with over 4,000 families’ lives having been economically supported.
“Experience is the best teacher, League of Former Progressives Ward Chairmen shall bring our experiences to the fore in support of the party’s candidates to achieve overwhelming victories for Asiwaju, our hard-working Mr. Sellable, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, our incoming Lagos West Senatorial Candidate Dr. Idayat Adebule, High-Chief Atunluse-Akorede of Ikeja-Land, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke, and both candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikeja Constituency I and II, Hon Seyi Lawal and the experienced lawmaker, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu”.
The elated Chair of Chairs, Alhaji Adeokun, welcomed the former Ward Chairmen and assured them of his immense support.
The Chair of Chairs also promised to recognize the forum sequel to their past activities of winning elections for the party and urged them to bring their experience to the fore and ensure that they’re all included in their respective polling units committee where their experiences would be most appreciated.
The former Executive Secretary Ikeja Local Government also assured the League of advising other LGA Chairmen to embrace and accommodate the former Ward Chairmen in both campaigns and the electioneering process as their experiences are worthy and important.
He said he has always been an advocate for a good welfare package for both the current and former ward Chairmen for diligence and loyalty to the party.
Secretary of the League Taye Enesi and Faith Omoletu both on behalf of the team, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for the hospitable reception and promised to get back with details of their planned activities to motivate both Polling Units agents and general ward members to achieve massive victory for the party.
