National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s democratic credentials have been described as impeccable by the group which is mentored by Captain Adebayo Dosunmu, an APC Stalwart.

AUF argued that Tinubu has distinguished himself over time as a champion of democracy during the military era and a consolidator of democracy under the present dispensation, saying “with such an antecedent, we cannot hope for a better President come 2023.”

In a communiqué at the end of the group’s meeting at the AUF campaign Secretariat in Lagos, said: “These and many more reasons have endeared Tinubu to us all. It is the reason why we are mobilizing Nigerians and all party delegates to vote for Tinubu into exalted office in the land.”

A political campaign / support group known as Asiwaju Unity Forum (AUF) held its inaugural meeting at Abule Ado area of Amuwo Odofin LGA in Lagos State on Sunday 15th May, 2022.
The group led by Captain Adebayo Dosunmu gathered to discuss strategies to be adopted in ensuring their mentor and frontline presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu clinches the presidential slot in the fourth coming 2023 general elections.

Addressing the National leaders and other members, Captain Dosunmu emphasised the need to identify and hold delegates responsible for their votes and be true to themselves. He tagged it as “operation identify and hold the delegates responsible to vote wise”.


The marine captain also discussed the importance of further promoting the already established “Asiwaju back to school program” aimed at supporting more students with educational materials not just in Lagos State but the entire communities in the 36 states and FCT at large.


Captain Dosunmu went further by speaking on the roles of critical stakeholders like the market men and women where he drew the attention of the AUF members to the large numbers they posses and how it can be harnessed. The Group code named the operation as “Asiwaju Market Storm”.


The permanent voters card(PVC) registration and revalidation exercise which is still open for registration till June 30th 2022 was extensively dwelt upon as members were asked to ensure they go into the communities to get more people(Fresh Voters) registered for the forth coming general elections in order to double the number of votes usually recorded in the previous Elections.


Captain Dosunmu seized the opportunity of canvassing massive support for the governor of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu hailing the giant strides of the governor over the space of 3 years and also to support other APC Flagbearers once they secure the party ticket for the general elections.


The Group members promised to raise Footsoldiers that will evangelise the good works of the All Progresive Congress within the communities the 36 states and FCT of the federation in order to set the ball rolling for a victorious process for the party by working with the party structure. He advised other support groups to emulate “strategy adoption” as an easy way of sensitising the general public.


The meeting was adjourned to a later date where more participants were expected to attend.
