A world Press Conference was held on Monday at the Onigbongbo LCDA Secretariat hall towards the forthcoming 100,000 Youths Walk for Tinubu/ Faleke slated for August 27, 2022.

The event being organized by the Coalition of Ikeja Youths was aimed at sensitizing the Youths towards the next year general election.

The fitness walk is expected to mobilize and sensitize Ikeja youths in a build up towards 2023 elections where Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and happen to have his political constituent based in Ikeja.

Also the top ranking Member House of Representatives for the Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke with his novel achievements of empowerment programs.

Organizers of the event led by Mr Olalekan Oni, Hon Francis Nkwo, Hon Folu Omotosho and others emphasized the need to encourage the youths to supports the two candidates who have brought so much improvement to the lives of the people of Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Mr. Oni enumerated on the achievements of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was the governor of Lagos State, stated that Tinubu involved youths in his cabinet, notably names like Segun Dawodu, Raji Fashola, Muiz Banire and current governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Ms. Khadija Yusuf also a member of the Coalition highlighted the various empowerment programs by Hon James Abiodun Faleke embarked upon at alleviating the suffering of the youths in Ikeja Federal constituency so as to make them self-reliant and economically independent.

The 100,000 Youth March is scheduled for August 27, 2022 and the takes off point will be from Ikeja Under bridge/Awolowo Way, through Kudirat Abiola way Oregun and ends at Omole.

According to the organizers all security, medicals and logisics have been put in place so as to take care of the participants.

A minutes silence was observed in honour of Late Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson, who was the Apex leader of APC in Ikeja.
