Yari announces October 24 Kaduna flag-off for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign
…Urges APC Leaders, Members, Support Groups to Mobilise for Nationwide Campaign
Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, has announced that the campaign to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be officially flagged off in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Yari, in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, called on APC leaders, party members, campaign coordinators, support groups and young Nigerians to mobilise for the event, describing it as the starting point of a nationwide campaign tour.
According to him, the campaign team will move from Kaduna to all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of efforts to advance the President’s re-election campaign.
He urged state chapters of the APC and affiliated support groups to commence mobilisation immediately in collaboration with the Presidential Campaign Council’s secretariat.
The campaign director-general also stressed the importance of ensuring a large and peaceful turnout at the Kaduna flag-off, noting that the event would serve as a demonstration of the campaign’s message.
“ A big turnout and a peaceful one. That is the message Kaduna will send,” Yari stated.
He expressed anticipation of welcoming party stakeholders and supporters to Kaduna for the exercise, concluding his message with the Islamic expression, “Insha Allah.”
The announcement marks a key mobilisation step ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the campaign council expected to coordinate activities across the country following the Kaduna launch.
