The newly appointed Director-General, Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Olalekan Fatodu has vowed that sports as a strategic tool will be activated to drive the THEMES Plus agenda of the current administration to engender development and achieve growth.

Fatodu stated this during a reception organised by the Management, Board, Senior Special Assistants to Mr. Governor and the staff of the Commission to formally welcome him to the Commission at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, on Monday.

He said, “We will use the sports platform to activate the agenda of inclusivity, gender-friendly as well as youth engagement”.

The former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Development Goals reiterated that he is passionate about development with the instrumentality of sports, to ensure a sane society and engage the youth positively.

“I want this experience to be sweet, I want this experience to be mutually beneficial and fulfilling. I am convinced that through this journey, we will achieve greater results through our collaborative efforts, team spirits and commitment”.

As a communication strategist, he also promised to work for sports development by welcoming ideas and initiatives from every individual that tends to contribute immensely to the achievement of the #Greater Lagos vision
