The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has revealed that the recently kidnapped female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University have been released by their captors.

The governor announced this development on his Facebook page late Tuesday night.

He said “this is to announce that we have secured the release of Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule – both OOU students recently kidnapped in Ayetoro”.

He however didn’t mention if ransom was paid or not. But expressed gratitude to the state’s police command and other security agencies involved in the exercise.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police and other security agencies involved in the exercise that will now see the ladies reunited with their respective families” the governor concluded.
