Fuad Atanda-Lawal has commented on the total desilting and carting away of resultant waste matters at Ribadu Road Ikoyi to pave the way for the free flow of water.

In continuation of the total deflooding and desilting exercise of the entire drainages, canals as well of clearing of refuse heaps at black spots all around the Local Council jurisdiction in preparation for the much predicted heavy rainfall, Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area under the administration of Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal has commenced on the total desilting and carting away of resultant waste matters at Ribadu Road Ikoyi to pave the way for the free flow of water.

It’s important to note that Ribadu Road is a feeder road that connected some other major streets, allowing motorists to negotiate and navigate easily.

The Executive Chairman of the most urbanized local council in sub-Saharan Africa while inspecting the progress of the job informed residents of his administration’s readiness to protect lives and properties of residents by ensuring free flow of water.

However, the Council Mayor sternly warned the residents to stop the habit of throwing their refuse and other waste matters in the gutters because blocked drainage will promote flooding.
