The All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 18 wards across Ikeja Federal Constituency held their New Year Parties for their members to commemorates the beginning of the year and another year of Political adventure on Sunday 7th, January 2024.
The APC Ikeja LGA Executives led by Mayegun Dally Adeokun the Chair of Chair of the 57 LGA Chairmen of APC in Lagos State urged all party faithful to remain steadfast and more committed to party activities.
Mayegun Adeokun in his opening remark to kick-start the New Year celebration simultaneously across the six wards of Ikeja Local Government before his departure for journey outside the state, expressed his gratitude to the party faithful for their steadfastness before, during and after the general elections.
He noted that Ikeja being the constituency of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must continue to set the progressives pace for others to follow, hence, the New Year celebration with party members and leaders to thank God for the victories recorded at the last general elections and to usher in good tidings for party faithful in the new year 2024.
The Chairman also expressed his most gratitude to the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Tayo Ayinde for sponsoring the APC Ikeja New Year Party for the party faithful across the 18 wards of Ikeja Federal Constituency and the three LGAs of Ikeja, Ojodu and Onigbongbo.
He also gracefully acknowledged the topnotch representation of the Member House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke for his continuous empowerment and healthcare supports all through the year for thousands of residents of the constituency
In some of the words visited, Ward A, B, C, D, E and F Party faithful turn out in their large numbers to celebrate and interact with one another.
In an interview with the Chairman Ward E (Seriki-Aro/Adeniyi-Jones) who is also the Chair of Chair of the 18 Wards, Alhaji Nasiru Agoro who was in an excited mood, said the event was made possible by the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor Mr. Tayo Ayinde for his assistance in cash, a bag of rice and a Cow to each of the 18 wards within the Ikeja Federal Constituency to celebrate the New year.
He thanked and prayed for him for always being there for them.
Chairman Ward C (Onilekere/Onipetesi) Onamisan Okiri, also acknowledged the support of the CoS, Mr. Tayo Ayinde for the support for the New Year party and noted that party members are very happy and excited for felicitation.
Speaking in the same vein was the Youth Leader for ward F Comrade Wale Amole, thanked the Chief of Staff for his support and expressed his happiness for the large turnout of Party members.
The Chairman Ward A (Isale Awori/Ipodo) Alhaji Saheed Ekundayo at the venue of the ward party at Tokunbo Ali Primary school, prayed for God’s protection and grace for Mr. Tayo Ayinde who sponsored the New Year party and urged him to continue the good gesture.
He also prayed for the successful tenure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Alhaji Kaleen Osiberu, Chairman APC Ward D (Anifowose/Ogunbiyi Area) also expressed his gratitude to the sponsor of the event and highlighted immense satisfaction of his ward members
Prince Adesoye Adesoji, the Chairman of Ward B (Alade/Allen area) noted that it is sign of better things to come in 2024 for members of the party and all residents of Ikeja.
He also joined others in expressing his sincere appreciation to Mr. Tayo Ayinde for the sponsorship of the APC Ikeja New Year party.
The Ward Chairman of Ward F, Alausa, President Bola Tinubu’s ward, Alhaji Ganiyu Abiala, said he was not surprised at the massive turnout of party faithful for the APC New Year celebration, noted that the ward has continued on the laid down mobilization style of the late Alani Okikioposu, the first Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government who passed on late 2022
Abiala stated that different sociocultural and sociopolitical groups were invited for the new year party to celebrate and also expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde for sponsoring the event.
