Tinubu to Ekiti people: Deliver 95% of votes to me; reject Atiku, Obi

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has charged the people of Ekiti State not to vote for Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi in 2023.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has charged the people of Ekiti State not to vote for Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi in 2023.

Tinubu stated this at the inauguration of the newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti state, Abiodun Oyebanji.

Tinubu said, “They’re coming; One will say he is Atiku (Abubakar). One will call himself Peter Obi. You don’t know them. The only person you know is Bola Ahmed Tinubu and you must deliver 95 percent of the votes.”

Tinubu promised to support Oyebanji to success, adding that Ekiti would not regret voting for Oyebanji and APC.

“We are going to support Oyebanji to succeed, we would not allow him to fail. We are thanking you for not allowing the terminates to return to Ekiti State. APC will not disappoint you”

Meanwhile, the newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, rolled out six points agenda shortly after he was sworn in by the Chief Judge of Ekiti, Justice John Adeyeye.

He said the agenda was to further bring economic prosperity and good governance to the people of the state.

Oyebanji said that his six points developmental agenda would focus on youth development and job creation.

Others are human capital development, Agriculture and rural development and infrastructure, industrialization, arts, culture, and tourism as well as good governance.

The governor said that his vision for the state was for it to be a land of prosperity, opportunity, peace, and progress.

Oyebanji said the six-point agenda was carefully selected based on his experience in the public and private sectors, coupled with the yearnings of the masses to improve the status of the state.

He said for the vision to be actualized, there was a need to focus on a roadmap to get there, urging the people to be partners in progress.

Oyebanji added that creating employment and income-generating opportunities for residents of the state would be a critical component of his administration’s agenda.
