Tinubu shakes up River Basin Authorities with fresh appointments

President Bola Tinubu has approved fresh appointments to bolster the leadership of River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

President Bola Tinubu has approved fresh appointments to bolster the leadership of River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

At the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta, Sowade Oluwakayode Adebayo takes over as Executive Director of Engineering Services, replacing Engr. Julius Oloro.

For the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Chucks Erhire assumes the role of Executive Director of Engineering Services, succeeding Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo.

At the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, Sunday Kubba Hassan has been named Executive Director of Planning, replacing Chief Chris Tarka, while Engr. Okibe Timothy retains his position as Executive Director of Engineering.

President Tinubu has charged the new appointees to uphold excellence and integrity in driving improved water management and rural development for Nigerians.
