President Bola Tinubu has forwarded the names of Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner, Fayesimi Ibiyemi to the Senate for approval.
He also submitted the names of two federal commissioners – Tukur AbdulRasaq (North-West) and Professor Sunday Ajah (South-East).
The correspondence was read by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio during plenary on Tuesday.
The request has been subsequently referred to the committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to report back as soon as possible.
