President departs Abuja on annual leave, expected back home ahead of January 2027 election campaige
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today depart Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, August 30, 2026, noting that the President’s first stop will be London, United Kingdom.
The President is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation and join the campaign activities and political engagements ahead of the January 2027 election.
The Presidency described the trip as part of Tinubu’s annual leave, coming at a time political activities are gathering momentum ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
