President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah; Environment Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed; and six others.

In a message of solidarity delivered on Wednesday, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the national tragedy, describing it as a painful loss not only to Ghana but to the entire West African region.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with President Mahama, the bereaved families, and the people of Ghana at this profoundly difficult time,” Tinubu said.

“The victims were distinguished public servants who gave their lives in the noble service of their nation.”

He urged the Ghanaian people to draw strength from the courage and patriotism of the departed, noting that their sacrifice would be remembered as a testament to their commitment to national duty.

President Tinubu also prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased and strength for their families, as well as continued unity and resilience for the Ghanaian nation in the face of the tragedy.
