President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, on his birthday, commending his leadership and efforts to stabilise the state.

In a statement on Thursday signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated the governor’s leadership and contributions to governance in the state.

Tinubu described Mutfwang as a lawyer and politician who, “through responsible leadership, has stabilised Plateau State and is gradually returning the state to its glory days as Home of Peace and Tourism.”

The President acknowledged the governor’s achievements in several key sectors, including security, rural infrastructural development, healthcare and education.

He also noted the governor’s efforts to revitalise the state’s economy through the development of agro-logistics hubs.

According to the statement, the President further commended the governor for promoting inclusive governance and advancing peaceful co-existence among residents of the state.

Tinubu particularly lauded Mutfwang’s inauguration of a 14-member State Advisory Committee on state police, describing the move as aligned with his directive to states to begin processes toward establishing state police.

The President described the action as “proactive and a strategic effort to strengthen the state’s security architecture.”

He wished the governor good health and strength as he marked the occasion of his birthday.

“As the governor celebrates this special occasion, the President wishes him good health and strength as he continues his good work in the state,” the statement added.
