Hamzat Announces Tinubu’s Endorsement for 2027 Lagos Governorship Race
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, has announced that he has received the endorsement of Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
Hamzat made the disclosure on Wednesday via his official Facebook page, expressing deep appreciation for the confidence reposed in him.
“I am indeed very grateful for the vote of confidence and endorsement. I am fully aware of the responsibility it carries,” he stated.
The Deputy Governor affirmed his readiness to build on the developmental strides and foundation established in Lagos, noting that the state remains a benchmark for growth and progress in the country.
“Lagos State is an ongoing project because we are the yardstick for development and progress. There is still a lot of work ahead; we have an election to win and a legacy to protect,” he added.
Hamzat also emphasized his commitment to the task ahead, assuring residents of his continued focus and dedication as the 2027 election approaches.
