Nigeria Police Force Gets Boost with Patrol Vehicle, Community Members to Receive Food Items and Gas Cylinder Gifts
In furtherance of his ongoing initiative to enhance the standard of living of residents within Nigeria’s Premier Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan has finalized arrangements to provide financial support totaling Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000) to benefit Widows, Elderly Locals, Physically Challenged Persons, Petty Traders, Artisans, and Technicians.
The Deputy Leader of the Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Council will provide a patrol vehicle to the Nigeria Police Force, strengthening the island’s security framework.
The community will also benefit from the distribution of hundreds of bags of rice and filled gas cylinders.
Hon. Oyekan noted that these socioeconomic interventions are intended to complement the State and Federal Governments’ initiatives in poverty alleviation and security of lives and property.
“I am passionate about uplifting the vulnerable in our communities and I will not relent. We must brighten the hope of the people and make the world a better place”. He said.
Notably, the Council Legislator demonstrated commitment to community development by disbursing N10 Million in March and N5 Million in May to support disadvantaged individuals and small-scale business owners, fostering local economic growth and improved living conditions.
In December 2023, the legislator further enhanced community security by presenting a Utility Bus to the Isale-Eko Community Security Outfit (Folumo).
Hon. Oyekan’s Strategic Initiatives received accolades from Community Leaders, Party Officials, and Stakeholders statewide.
