SOB Foundation partners Councillor to reach out to widows in Alimosho

In a bid to support the people-oriented goals of the Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon Jelili Sulaimon, the Councillor representing Ward A at the Alimosho LG Parliament, Hon Omobolaji Yusuf has collaborated with SOB Foundation to put smiles on the faces of widows in the area.

In a bid to support the people-oriented goals of the Executive Chairman, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon Jelili Sulaimon, the Councillor representing Ward A at the Alimosho LG Parliament, Hon Omobolaji Yusuf has collaborated with SOB Foundation to put smiles on the faces of widows in the area.

SOB Foundation is a philanthropic organisation of young people within and outside Nigeria with the aim of putting smiles on people’s face by alleviating their sufferings.

The day’s edition is meant to take care of widows and it was the first of it’s kind for the Foundation. The programme. which was held at DCM Hotel, Akowonjo on Thursday, was well attended by a number of widows across Alimosho.

The CEO/Founder of SOB Foundation, Mr Sam Oluwakayode Badmus said: “Today’s program started like a play and it is gratifying that it is now a reality. I learnt the act of giving from my parents who can give everything they own without looking back.

“Today, a total of thirty (30) widows selected from Alimosho will be going home with cooked meal, packs of noodles and drinks and the sum of N5000 each.

“It is a token of our genuine and sincere commitment to assuage their plight and this is just the beginning of more good things to come,” Badmus said.

On his part, Hon Omobolaji Yusuf commended SOB Foundation for the solid collaboration. He stated that though helping the widows has been a part of his usual activities but this particular one is much larger than he ever thought.

The beneficiaries appreciated the kind gestures, and prayed for the Councillor and SOB Foundation.
