The Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) made an official visit to Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, where Chairman Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu and his team were warmly received by Vice Chairman Hon. Lucky Uduikhue, acting on behalf of Executive Chairman Hon. Ayoola Adekunle Fatai.
During the visit, Hon. Bayewu praised Hon. Fatai Ayoola for his administration’s various initiatives and projects, describing him as a capaAdministration
He thanked the entire staff for their cooperation and encouraged them to continue delivering excellent results.
Hon. Bayewu also reminded the staff of the benefits they have received from LGSC during his tenure, including promotions, postings, confirmations, and advancements, which have had a positive impact on their lives.
Hon. Bayewu encouraged eligible voters to participate in the upcoming local government election and make informed decisions. In response, Vice Chairman Hon. Lucky Uduikhue outlined the local government’s achievements, including the purchase of a staff bus, increased bonuses, and office renovations, all of which were fulfilled promises of the Fatai Ayoola Administration.
Mrs. Abosede George, Permanent Secretary, announced that 365 staff members have been confirmed during the incumbent’s tenure. She advised the Human Resource Officer to organize in-house training on Civil Service Rules and Regulations and informed staff about the upcoming Long Service Award and Recognition of Outstanding OffiLCDAs
Mrs. George encouraged the council to nominate deserving staff and reminded them to live within their salary.
She also announced that payment for 2025 promotions will be effected soon.
Mrs. Bibilomo Olusekun, Permanent Secretary, Establishment and Pension, represented by Mrs. Dada Director Admin and HR, encouraged staff to familiarize themselves with Civil Service Rules.
She stated that the Commission is working to bring local government staff up to par with those in the mainstream.
The meeting was well-attended, with notable presence from SLG and Exco Members, LGA Chairman of the ruling party and party faithful, Management Staff, NULGE Executive and the Entire Staff.
Council Manager Mr. Ramon Babatunde gave the vote of thanks, appreciating the LGSC team for their visit, which demonstrates the LGSC’s commitment to staff welfare and development in the 20 local government and 37 LCDAs.
