Senator Tokunbo Abiru mourns Ambassador Ademola Rasaq Seriki

Seriki’s death painful, shocking

The Chairman of, the Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA has commiserated with the family of Ademola Rasaq Seriki, Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, who died on Thursday.

Senator Abiru, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr Enitan Olukotun on Thursday described the passing of Ambassador Seriki as devastating, shocking and a big loss not only to his family, Lagos State but Nigeria as a whole.

He admonished the family, friends and associates of Late Ambassador Seriki to take solace in the fact that the Lagos born Diplomat lived a fulfilled life as a successful politician, businessman and public administrator.

The Statement read, “ On behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I express my deepest heartfelt condolences to the Seriki family on the passing of Ambassador Ademola Rasaq Seriki who died in Madrid, Spain on Thursday at the age of 63 years.

“Late Ambassador Seriki, an accomplished politician and businessman, was a refined gentleman who will always be remembered for his outstanding contributions to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria in general.

“The former Minister of State for Defence and Minister of State for the Interior, left enduring legacies as a public officer. I admonished the family, political associates and friends of the deceased to find comfort in the impactful and purposeful life Late Ambassador Seriki lived.

“I commiserate with the entire family and pray that Almighty Allah grants the deceased an eternal rest and gives you all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Ameen”.
