Pandemonium has broken out in the Lekki Toll Gate Area of Lagos as armed security personnel fired gunshots to disperse the EndSARS protesters.
Reports seen online indicate several protesters shot were been treated on the roadside by fellow protesters. Lagos Panorama cannot verify the authenticity of the videos.
While details of the incident are still sketchy, there have been reports of various casualties.
Videos from the scene of the incident have shown some persons bleeding from gunshot wounds, as others try to extract the bullets.
Some others were seen administering CPR to others to resuscitate them.
Several social media accounts reveal peaceful protesters are being shot at by the military at the Lekki toll gate holdout for the #EndSars protest.
However, in one video seen, a protester who was apparently shot in the leg was being treated by protesters after bullets were removed.
In another gripping image that has perhaps captured the image of these protests, one of the protesters was seen covered in blood while the flag was used to reduce the bleeding apparently from an injury.
A curfew was imposed by the Lagos State Government earlier in the day starting from 4pm but was later moved to 9pm today. However, the protesters were defiant choosing to continue the protest until their demands are met.
The incident comes hours after the Lagos State Government declared a 24-hour curfew starting from 4pm but was later moved to 9pm today, as part of efforts to stop the violence which had broken out in some parts of the state by criminal elements hiding under the guise of #EndSARS protests.
