Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu on Friday commissioned Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre and Specialist Hospital located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The hospital, which is a private facility, also boasts the first Truebeam Linear Accelerator in West Africa. The machine helps to administer precise and quick cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Other facilities at the hospital founded by Dr. Modupe Elebute-Odunsi include Imaging Centre with CT, Mammogram, Ultrasound, X-Ray Machines, Modern Laboratory Services, Two Operating Theatres, Eight-bed Chemotherapy Suite, Fifteen Private En-suite Rooms for Inpatients, Pharmacy and Counselling Service.
Aside the Governor, the event was attended by Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila;
wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu; wife of former Senate President, Mrs Toyin Saraki; and Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, among others.
