Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Late Justice Adunni Adebajo At Commendation Service

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has paid glowing tribute to the late Hon. Justice Sekinat Adunni Adebajo, describing her as a beacon of integrity, wisdom, and principled leadership in the Lagos State Judiciary.

 

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has paid glowing tribute to the late Hon. Justice Sekinat Adunni Adebajo, describing her as a beacon of integrity, wisdom, and principled leadership in the Lagos State Judiciary.

This was contained in his message read by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, during a Commendation Service held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina.

He expressed the government’s gratitude for the exemplary life and service of Justice Adebajo, adding that her transition marks a significant loss to her family, the judiciary, and the nation.

“Justice Adebajo embodied integrity, wisdom, and uncommon grace. Her courtroom was a sanctuary for justice, fairness, and truth. Justice Adunni bolstered the credibility of the Lagos State legal system with her every ruling that showcased the value of principled leadership.”

The late jurist was also commended for her meticulous intellect, balanced judgments, and humane disposition, which will continue to serve as reference points for legal practitioners for generations.

He added that her professional accomplishments aside, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, mentor, and an embodiment of quiet strength and humility. A woman who never needed to raise her voice to command respect.

The children of the deceased expressed their appreciation to the Governor for his kind words about their mother.

The service was attended by former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Otunba Femi Pedro, family members, judicial officers, and government officials.
