SAMOLA, traditional rulers, other dignitaries extol oniworo as he marks 4th Year on the throne; commissions administrative building.

All roads led to Iworo Kingdom earlier today as HRM OBA (DR) Oladele Friday Kosoko, Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo-Awori kingdom, Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) marked his fourth year on the throne of his forefathers. The event which was graced by an influx of highly revered personalities such as the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde and traditional rulers across the division also witnessed the commissioning of an administrative building and staff quaters within the premises of the Ultra-Modern Community Palace under construction.

The event which was graced by an influx of highly revered personalities such as the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde and traditional rulers across the division also witnessed the commissioning of an administrative building and staff quaters within the premises of the Ultra-Modern Community Palace under construction.

While delivering his welcome address, the monarch stated in clear terms that although he was grateful to God Almighty for how far the kingdom had come under his reign, it was not yet time to celebrate, rather, it was time to pray and commit ongoing projects such as the overall completion of the community palace as well as the progress of the kingdom and her people into the hands of God.

A prayer session ensued, afterwhich the indefatigable Mayor of the Council, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA) did the honour of commissioning the newly completed administrative building. Before cutting the tape, the Council Mayor who is popularly referred to as ‘Mr. Project’ for his outstanding delivery of Capital Projects at the helm of affairs of the LCDA congratulated the monarch for the feat. He proceeded to extol the monarch for his vision and unique leadership approach, identifying his vast experience, vision and intelligence as traits that have set the kingdom on an upward trajectory.

Hon. Olatunde concluded by praying that the monarch enjoy a long, fruitful life so that his dreams for the people of Iworo could be brought to fruition.

In the same vein, HRM OBA Abraham Ogabi, the Ajagun of Imeke Kingdom unveiled the beautifully sculpted statue of Old Oba Ajagun of Iworo Kingdom, while HRM Alayeluwa Oba Oyekan Ayekanmi Ajose, Possi III, Alapa of Apa Kingdom Lagos State commissioned the Ultra-Modern Palace Staff Quaters.

Other traditional rulers and dignitaries in attendance were HRM Olojo of Ojo kingdom, HRM the Aholu Whenton De-Yeyi 1 of Ajara Topa Kingdom, HRM Agano of Ajara Agamathen Kingdom, HRM the Aholu of Ikoga-Zebbe Kingdom, Baales and Chiefs.

Also to attend were the former Vice Chairman of Badagrly LG, Alhaji Waheed Hassan, representatives of Christian Association of Nigeria, League of Imams, The Director of DSS Badagry Local Government, the Commanding Officer 243 Battalion of the Nigerian Army etc.

In the entourage of the Council Chairman were the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Femi Bamgbose, The SLG, Hon. Odu Joseph, The Chief of Staff, Hon. Sesan Ajose, Supervisory Councillor for WAPA, Hon. Nurat Olayinka-Zubair, Budget Supervisor, Hon. Kole Agbaje amongst others.
