Bullish about topping previous highs in administrative efficiency
As staffers enjoy free eye tests, teeth scaling and polishing
Earlier today, Monday 10th January, 2021, the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) branch held a New year/Thanksgiving Staff Party to usher in the year 2022. The event was chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA).
As part of activities that marked the program, Members of staff benefited from free teeth scaling and polishing as well as free eye tests.
In a brief chat with his media team after the event, the indefatigable Mayor of the Council, Honorable Olatunde was bullish while shedding light on his projections for the year regarding administrative efficiency. He was visibly spirited as he expressed optimism that his administration can topple their already unprecedented highs of recent years.
According to him, “We are very clear in our heads as far as our aims for the year and we are trying to ensure that everyone is on-board with the projections. We have to be on the same page; Executives, Legislators, Management and staff, everybody.
“Going forward, the aim is to exceed the performances of recent years altogether. We have to consistently aim higher and higher even if it means outperforming ourselves. And I have no doubt that our workforce can achieve that”, he concluded.
Also to grace the occasion were; Mrs. Oluwakemi Abimbola Olatunde, Wife of the Council Chairman, Hon. Ariwayo Christian, Leader of the Legislative arm of the government of the Council, Hon. Idowu Olasunkanmi Awotunde, Ward A Councillor, Hon. Nurudeen Mojeed, Ward B Councillor, Hon. Shatin Gbeleyi, Ward D Councillor, NULGE Executives of the Council led by Comrade Ogunyemi Abdulrasheed (Chairman), Management and Staff of the Council led by the Council Manager, Mr. Olabode Dawodu.
