Gospel singer, Timilehin Ajayi was arraigned in court by the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly murdering Salome Adaidu.

Ajayi purportedly dismembered Salome, his alleged girlfriend, when she visited his home in the Papalana axis at New Karshi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The 32-year-old suspect was arraigned at the Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital on Friday, January 17, 2025

He faced a one-count charge of Culpable Homicide punishable with death, contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.

The court directed that the suspect be detained in a correctional facility in Lafia pending formal arraignment on a date to be determAbuja

Prior to her tragic murder, the 24-year-old victim was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.

On Sunday, January 12, Ajayi was caught while trying to discard Salome’s head after killing and dismembering her body.
