Five members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Lagos State University branch (ASUU-LASU) are to be reinstated.
The reinstatement order, according to sources, has come on the recommendation of the Prof. Adenike Boyo committee which has advised the LASU Governing Council to recall the academic staff union executives who were sacked five years ago.
The committee was set up by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello to review the cases of the affected union leaders and come up with recommendations.
The recalled academic activists are: Dr. Akinloye Isaac Oyewumi (Chairman), Dr, Adebowale Adeyemi (Vice-Chairman), Dr. Anthony Dansu (Secretary); Dr. Adeolu Oluwaseyi Oyekan (Assistant Secretary) and Dr. Oluwakemi Aboderin Shonibare (Treasurer).
