‘Repair Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway’

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Good Governance Initiative (GGI), has urged the Federal Government to hasten reconstruction of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Good Governance Initiative (GGI), has urged the Federal Government to hasten reconstruction of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

A statement by Founder Malik Ibitoye said the road was bad publicity to All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ogun State.

Ibitoye said the Sango section, and some other parts from Ijaiye to Kola, Alakuko, Toll Gate Bus Stop, and others, have were embarrassment to the governments.

He said: “There is no doubt President Muhammadu Buhari and Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola are interested in APC winning Ogun State and some other states…

“However, early completion of Lagos/Abeokuta expressway will boost the image of APC, while doing the contrary would lead to bad publicity for the party’’.
