The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), describing it as a visionary and people-driven programme that reflects the compassionate leadership ideals of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, OON.
In a statement signed by the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the party praised the RHI for its innovation, inclusiveness, and measurable impact across Nigeria, noting that it represents “a bold and humanitarian extension of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”
A Mother to the Nation, A Friend to the Vulnerable
According to the statement, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has redefined the role of a First Lady through her service-oriented approach. The Renewed Hope Initiative, it said, has positively touched millions of Nigerians — including widows, students, farmers, artisans, and persons with disabilities — by providing them with empowerment, scholarships, skills development, and welfare support.
“The First Lady has proven that leadership can be tender yet transformative,” Oladejo stated. “Her Initiative is not ceremonial; it is service in action — meeting the real needs of ordinary Nigerians.”

The Lagos APC emphasized that the RHI stands apart for its structure and sustainability, describing it as a “federalized empowerment framework” designed to ensure no state is left behind.
From agricultural support in Benue and flood relief in Bayelsa to startup grants in Lagos and women empowerment in Katsina, the RHI, the party said, is quietly transforming lives across the federation.
Complementing the President’s Vision
Oladejo noted that the Initiative complements President Tinubu’s broader economic reforms by focusing on micro-level human empowerment. “While the President addresses macroeconomic recovery, the First Lady’s Initiative delivers compassion at the grassroots — ensuring that reform and relief go hand in hand,” he added.

The RHI, the statement further said, transcends political, ethnic, and religious boundaries, providing equitable access to opportunities for all Nigerians. By deliberately including youth, women, and persons with disabilities, it demonstrates that “every citizen deserves dignity, hope, and a fair chance.”
