Barça Women have won the first Spanish Super Cup in their history after an incredible 1-10 victory over Real Sociedad. The reigning champions, were put to the sword throughout, and found themselves down 0-6 by half-time. Torrejón – with a poker (four goals) was the final MVP, Alexia and Oshoala scored a brace each, with Graham and Candela adding to the tally.
The blaugranes controlled the game from the beginning. A superb one-two between Alexia and Patri saw the former play in Marta Torrejón to open the scoring with a sensational first goal. Just two minutes later Alexia added the second herself. With half an hour played, the score remained the same, but then another incisive move, this time from Mariona and Graham, allowed Torrejón to add the third.
Floodgates opened
That opened the floodgates, with Oshoala and Graham adding two more within four minutes. Barça Women still weren’t done, and Alexia added their sixth on the stroke of half-time. Five minutes after the restart, Oshoala made it seven, and when Graham’s shot was spilled by the Basque goalkeeper, Torrejón was on target for the eighth.
Just after the hour mark, Sociedad’s Manu gave her team something to cheer, but their joy was short-lived as Candela scored her first of the season to make it 1-9. Just three minutes later, a great cross by Lieke Martens found Torrejón to complete the rout.

Oshoala scored three goals in two appearances in the first ever Supercopa Feminina and picked up her second silverware with the club after last year’s Copa Catalunya Femenina.
She followed up her goal against Atletico Madrid in the 3-2 victory with two more, in the 35th and 51st minutes plus an assist for Alexia Putellas.
In her last ten games, the Attacker has scored 11 goals, while across all competitions this campaign for Barcelona the Nigeria international has netted 19 goals in 22 appearances.
Her form mirrors how lethal Barcelona themselves have been this season, going unbeaten in all competitions.
