The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Oyedamola Oke has emerged as the acting Vice Chancellor of the institution.

Oke, erstwhile Deputy VC, Administration, defeated Professor Wahab Elias, Deputy VC, Academics by 61 votes to 51 votes during the Emergency Senate Meeting ordered by the Visitor to the University and Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sano-Olu .
