President Bola Tinubu has summoned the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo to the Presidential Villa.

The minister was summoned to Aso Rock over payment of N438m as consultancy fee to a company linked to by the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu.

Tunji-Ojo is expected to meet the president on Tuesday afternoon at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It was reported that the Edu-led ministry awarded a consultancy contract to the tune of N438 million for the National Social Register to New Planet Projects Ltd.

Tunji-Ojo has also been linked to the company.

Meanwhile, Tinubu suspended Edu on Monday for financial irregularities and mismanagement of public funds.
