President Bola Tinubu has directed redeployed and sacked ministers to transfer responsibilities to their successors or Permanent Secretaries on or before October 30, 2024.

This follows the Federal Executive Council Meeting, where Tinubu announced the redeployment of 10 ministers, termination of 5, and appointment of 7, subject to National Assembly approval.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, outlined the merger of Tourism with Arts Culture and Creative Economy, and Sports Development. In ministries without successors, outgoing ministers will hand over to Permanent Secretaries.

The renamed Ministry of Regional Development will oversee Niger Delta, South East, North East, and North West Development.
