The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Oladotun Olakanle has urged residents of the council to embrace peace and collective responsibilities to foster unity.
This is coming after the wanton of looting and destruction of public and private assets in the state after hoodlums and other criminal elements hijacked the #EndSARS protest on Tuesday causing mayhem across Lagos State and some other cities in Nigeria.
Hon Olakanle in a press release forwarded to Lagos Panorama on Saturday stated that “In our communities, the people have resolved to start afresh and clean up the debris from the actions of vandals”.
“Our interface at the third-tier of government will go a long way to ease our burden and eventually reduce the stress of our hardworking Governor in Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu”.
“Together we can make our respective communities better. Governance is all about being responsive and committed to the cause of the common man”.
“I appreciate your genuine concern towards better Onigbongbo LCDA”.
“Together Let’s Make Our Communities Great Again”
“I wish to express my sincere and profound appreciation to all our Apex Leaders under the Leadership of Chief (Dr) Oluyomi Finnih, our Governor’s Advisory Counncil (GAC) member for their support thus far”.
“I cannot but thank our teeming Youths across the six-wards of the Council for allowing us to engage and interface with them in maintaining peace and order in our Local Government during and after the #End SARS protest”.
“The Brigade Commander, O/C military intelligence, the various police formation, the LSNSC, OPC group, CDA/CDC members and a host of other stakeholders that made the peace happened and the Local Government secured”.
“I am also using this medium to appeal to our Youths for continuous dialogue since our voice has been heard by the Authority, for a follow up on other demands” the council boss appealed.
