Days ago, it was revealed that the husband of the late Nigerian musician, Osinachi Nwachukwu, Peter Nwachukwu has been arrested.
However, immediately after these reports, it was also revealed that he has been released as he is now in his house. His release has been confirmed by the police, however, it was added that Peter Nwachukwu is still being investigated.
The issue which was at the Lugbe Police has now been handed over to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Agency and this was made known in a report by Vanguard News.
The report quoted a source saying;
“He was brought home because he insisted he did not murder his wife, claiming she was terribly ill and that he took her to a number of hospitals for treatment, including Gwagwalada General Hospital and Federal Medical Centre. They claimed he was taken home to provide confirmation of what he claimed had happened.”
Additionally, the Police Spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory, DSP Josephine Adeh in a recent submission about the issue said;
“We went to his house as part of our ongoing investigation into the situation. You don’t believe we’ll keep him in our custody while we investigate?”
