The woman who allegedly killed her husband for impregnating his girlfriend in Ebule-Egba area of Lagos state has been arrested by the police.
The deceased, Alaba Bakare aka Bama, who owned the popular Bama Hotel and Suites, recently arrived from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, with his wife and three children. The wife, identified as Motunrayo, got information that her husband had impregnated another lady shortly after their holiday in Dubai.
She reportedly drugged her husband on Monday night and placed a hot iron on parts of his body until he died. Confirming her arrest, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said: “The body has been deposited at the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
“The deceased’s wife and three others have been arrested in connection with the suspected murder case.” Ajisebutu added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi instructed that the case be transferred immediately to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, for diligent investigation.
