Police arrested five suspects for stealing female underwear

Police operatives from Ojo Police Station in Lagos State has arrested one Chukwajekwu Eziigbo, male, 15 years of Ilufe Area, Ojo, Lagos State for stealing female underwears from clothesline.

The suspect, Eziigbo, according to a press release issued by the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana confessed that he has been stealing female underwears from different houses in Ojo and environs for about a year.

He said that he usually hand over those stolen underwears to some ladies who have also been arrested by the Police for fees.

The female suspects who have confessed to the acts according to the police are Chidi Obietuake 17 years old, Chikwaka Chidima Jemfe , 17 years old; Gold Enyinnaya , 23 years old and Akomas Amarachi 26 years old, all of Ilufe area, Ojo.


Lagos PPRO said the detectives recovered some stolen female underwears from the suspects and that investigation into the matter is ongoing saying the suspects will be charged to Court after investigation is concluded.
Police also said it prevented a 21 years old student of University of Nigeria, (UNN) , Nsukka from committing suicide .
“On 07 /01 / 2020, at about 0829hrs, an officer of Lagos State Neighbourhood Security Corps, alerted Ejigbo Police Station that a young man named Obasi Augustine Chuckuemeka, 21 years old of No 4, Alaba Street, Ejigbo Last Bus Stop , a student of UNN, Enugu campus tied a rope in a loop around their living room ceiling fan in preparation for committing suicide because he was scolded by his parents. Swift response by operatives from Ejigbo Police Station prevented him from killing himself. He was rescued and taken to hospital for medical examination. Investigation is ongoing”
