Is it a done-deal already? Vice President Yemi Osinbajo met in Lagos with Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the favoured candidate of the Mandate Group, in the governorship primary scheduled for Sunday.

Sanwo-Olu is contesting against incumbent, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The Mandate Group is the political network linked with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National leader of the All Progressives Congress.

Osinbajo’s meeting with Sanwo-Olu came hours after Dr. Obafemi Hamzat stepped down for Sanwo-Olu.

Was the Vice-President’s appearance at the Bourdillon home of Asiwaju Tinubu, an affirmation of  where the voting will go on Sunday? Or did he come to rescue Ambode, as unconfirmed news said the primary may have been shifted by 24 hours.
