President Muhammadu Buhari played host to the All Progressives Congress {APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Sunday, Oct 31, 2021
President Buhari on his Facebook page posted pictures of the visit and said “It was my pleasure to host Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu today at the State House”.
Although the details of the meeting are still sketchy, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina also confirmed the development via photos on his official Facebook page.
In the meeting, the duo was seen having a conversation. Sunday’s visit is coming barely two months after President Buhari visited the former Lagos State governor in London, the United Kingdom.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said he came to thank the president for paying him a visit while he was in London in a brief statement.
This comes just weeks after the former governor of Lagos returned from the United Kingdom and met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday.
Both men were wrapped in a warm embrace as they met amid speculation that they would run for president in 2023.
