The National Leader and Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have arrived in Lagos State, days after emerging the party’s presidential flag-bearer at the 6-8 June Presidential Primary for the 2023 general elections.
The former Lagos State governor arrived to a rousing welcome by massive supporters and well wishers at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala International Airport at 3:25pm on Sunday.
Tinubu was received by the State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his cabinet members, APC State Chairman, Hon Cornelius Ojelabi and a massive turnout of party supporters, before Asiwaju Tinubu departed to the Palace of the Oba of Lagos.
Amongst his entourage were Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Hope Uzodimma Imo state Governor, former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole, former governor of Borno State, Ahmed Shettima, top ranking Member House of Representatives, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke, Hon Wale Edun, SLA Adamson Ayinde and a host of others.
The eager cheering crowd waited patiently for Tinubu at the airport, who upon disembarking from the airplane, waved at them, boarded a waiting bus and headed for the palace of Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
The road to the Oba Akiolu’s palace was littered with party members and faithful who stood under the scorching sun to wave flags and brooms to welcome Tinubu.
