Ecstasy in UNILAG as Sports Minister Lights UNILAG-NUGA 2022 Unity Torch –  University of Lagos
he University of Lagos was in frenzy for several hours on Friday, November 26, 2021 as Nigeria’s Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, lit the Torch of Unity for the 2022 Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) being hosted by the university.

The host of the 37th edition of the games designed for Nigeria universities undergraduate, University of Lagos gears up preparation towards a successful hosting, you may recall, recently the Sports Minister challenged the NUGA Games 2022 Local Organizing Committee to organize a game that will signal a ‘new beginning’ in the 57-year history of the Association.

The Pro-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Senator Lanre Tejuosho and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe thanked the Minister for his support and promised to put together an event that will meet global standards.

Over ninety universities (Federal, State and Private) from across the country are expected to participate at the “UNILAG NUGA 2022” scheduled to hold next March at the UNILAG Sports Center, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.
