The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikeja Federal Constituency committed the campaigns and 2023 general elections to the hand of God in a prayer section hosted today at the Ojodu LCDA Secretariat Main-Auditorium
The well-attended event was graced with prayers by both Islamic clerics and Executives of the Christian Association of Nigeria Ikeja LG, Ojodu, and Onigbongbo LCDAs.
Prayers were rendered for all the APC candidates in the 2023 general elections, namely, APC Presidential Candidate and hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senato Kashim Shettima; the APC Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running mate; the party’s Lagos West Senatorial candidate Dr. Idiat Adebule; top ranking Member of the House Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke; both candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly for Ikeja Constituencies I and II, Hon Seyi Lawal and Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu respectively.
The opening remark was made by the APC Ikeja LGA Chairman and Chair of Chair Conference of the 57 LGA Chairmen in Lagos State, Alhaji Dally Adeokun who was also joined by the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Olusegun Odunmbaku as both urged party faithful to ready for the task ahead.
Both leaders and other speakers averred that the Presidential Candidate’s home base, Ikeja Federal Constituency must work extra so as to return high election results to reflect the true love of the people for the National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On behalf of Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke who coincidentally is the Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), three branded campaign buses were also presented to the three APC LGA Chairmen within the Ikeja Federal Constituency, Alhaji Dally Adeokun, Alhaja Iyabode Akerele and Alhaja Olusola Kokumo.
An elated Hon Faleke later today posted on his twitter handle @honfaleke said “We had a special interdenominational prayer session for all the APC Candidates in Ikeja Federal Constituency to kick start the campaign towards the 2023 General Elections. It is important since our incoming President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a member of the constituency”.
“It is important to put everything in the hands of the Almighty. We have committed all aspirants to God, now it’s time to go out and Campaign and by the special grace of God, cruise to victory” the amiable federal lawmaker concluded.
Also in attendance were the Executive Chairman Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Dotun Olakanle, State, LGA, and ward Officers of the party within the Ikeja Federal Constituency.
