Permanent phone numbers of Lagos Police DPOs offices, Area Commands

Lagos Police Command said it has acquired hundreds of telephone lines to be permanently assigned to the offices of Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and other strategic officers across the state.

Lagos Police Command said it has acquired hundreds of telephone lines to be permanently assigned to the offices of Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and other strategic officers across the state.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for Lagos Police Command announced this in a statement of his X handle on Saturday.

He added that the move will ensure provision of a more stable channel of communication between the public and the police,

“This move phases out the old era where the personal phone numbers of these strategic officers are used for official communication/ assignments, resulting in a communication barrier whenever these officers are redeployed.

“With the new arrangement, numbers remain permanently attached to particular offices such that with the redeployment of the occupants of such officers, the phone numbers remain the same,” he said.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade mni, has taken this step to provide improved access, quicker response times and enhanced communication for the good people of Lagos State.

Hundeyin added that the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Lagos State Command, under the leadership of Apostle Kehinde Showemimo provided the desktop phones for the use of the newly introduced phone lines.

“CP Fayoade equally commends the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Lagos State Command, under the leadership of Apostle Kehinde Showemimo for magnanimously providing desktop phones to all police divisions within the state for the use of the newly introduced phone lines.

“The CP noted that this gesture will go a long way in consolidating the commitment of the Command in engaging with communities and creating a safer environment for everyone in the state”
