An independent private initiative support group for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections has officially commenced its campaign activities in Lagos, with a renewed commitment to taking the message of the administration’s achievements to the grassroots.

The support group was inaugurated on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Bola Tinubu Campaign Office on Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the group and business tycoon, Dr. Fola Tinubu, said the initiative was established primarily to mobilise and sensitise voters at the grassroots on the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration over the past three years.

According to him, the group would embark on extensive grassroots campaigns to educate the electorate on the administration’s policies, reforms and development initiatives, while making a case for President Tinubu’s re-election to enable him to consolidate and complete ongoing projects.

Dr. Tinubu disclosed that the campaign would cover at least 16 of Lagos State’s 20 Local Government Areas, while extending its activities to other states across the South-West.
He said the organisation would also promote the candidacies of President Tinubu, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s successor candidate, Deputy Governor-designate candidate Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He maintained that President Tinubu had laid a strong foundation for sustainable development and should be given the opportunity to consolidate the gains of his administration.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Organisation, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, commended Dr. Fola Tinubu for establishing the initiative, describing it as a timely contribution to the 2027 campaign effort.
Obanikoro highlighted what he described as key achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly in infrastructure, education and healthcare, as well as the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He said President Tinubu inherited a severely challenged economy but had embarked on a series of reforms aimed at stabilising the economy and repositioning the country for sustainable growth.

While acknowledging that the reforms had brought significant challenges, Obanikoro said their emerging results should be communicated effectively to Nigerians at the grassroots.
He urged eligible voters to obtain and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that active participation in the electoral process would be crucial to securing President Tinubu’s re-election and enabling the administration to complete its development programmes.

In his goodwill message, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, urged APC supporters to learn from the party’s performance in previous elections and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027.
Ikuforiji referenced recent electoral developments in Osun State, noting that APC’s performance in Lagos in the 2023 presidential election did not reflect the party’s numerical strength in terms of registered voters.
He said Lagos had approximately six million registered voters and argued that if about three million voters could be mobilised to support President Tinubu, the President would be well positioned to secure victory in the state.
The former Speaker called on party members and support groups to take the campaign to every nook and cranny of Lagos through house-to-house mobilisation and direct engagement with residents.
He said the achievements of the Tinubu administration should be properly communicated to the people while urging APC members to remain united and committed ahead of the 2027 elections.

The inauguration attracted APC leaders, supporters and members, as well as representatives of Ndigbo and Arewa communities, traditional rulers, community leaders, artisans, transport workers and other stakeholders.

The event further underscored the growing mobilisation and preparedness of APC supporters and allied groups in Lagos ahead of the 2027 general elections, with participants expressing commitment to grassroots engagement and the re-election bid of President Tinubu and other APC candidates.
