Asisat Oshoala is confident that the Super Falcons can make it to the podium at the 2024 Olympic Games.

The nine-time African champions will be making their return to the Games after a 16-year absence.

Randy Waldrum’s side are drawn in a tough group with Spain, Japan and Brazil.

Despite the enormity of the task before the team, Oshoala is upbeat they can claim a medal in Paris.
“I have a lot of confidence in this team. We have many young players and we can make things difficult for our opponents.

“We don’t just think about getting out of the group, I think we can actually walk away with a medal.”

The Super Falcons will open their campaign against Brazil at the Matmut Atlanque, Bordeaux, on Thursday.
