The ranking Member of the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Rt Hon James Abiodun Faleke monitoring the distribution of the food palliatives to electorates within his constituency to ensure a smooth and seamless process.

The beneficiaries who were selected randomly from the polling booths across the ten wards that make up the Ikeja Federal Constituency were presented with a 10kg bag of rice and two 5kg of semovita each on Thursday at his Agidingbi office.

Recipients were invited through phone calls and messages to pick up the palliatives on the schedule day with over 800 benefited on the first day and well over 4,200 more to get the largesse from the federal lawmaker

In a brief chat with Lagos Panorama, Rt Hon Faleke alluded that the essence of using the polling units for the distribution is to ensure the food palliatives get to the electorates directly.

He noted that over 5,000 Ikeja Federal constituents are to benefits from the first phase.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Lagos Panorama expressed their immense gratitude and appreciation for the kind gesture of the amiable federal lawmaker.

Several beneficiaries stated that it’s the first time they are benefiting from any government palliatives and praised Rt Hon Faleke for the initiative.

The Faleke’s food palliatives distribution will continue on Monday as would be beneficiaries will be contacted from Friday into the weekend.
