OTCI Embarks On Compliance Check In Selected MDAs

As part of its mandate, OTCI has initiated its inaugural three-day compliance check on selected Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

As part of its mandate, OTCI has initiated its inaugural three-day compliance check on selected Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

This exercise aims to evaluate the implementation of all approvals granted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside recommendations designed to enhance Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), improve customer experience, and promote effective governance.

The monitoring exercise commenced on Tuesday, January 20, 2025, focusing initially on the Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources, the Office of Physical Planning, and the State Office of Urban Development.

During the visit to the Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources, OTCI assessed the alignment of the Water Resources Department’s mandate with its previously made recommendations.

In addition, compliance checks were conducted to evaluate the implementation of the Governor’s approvals related to the delineation of mandates and the establishment of the Office of Physical Planning and the Office of Urban Development.

It is important to note that all offices successfully demonstrated the effective implementation of OTCI’s recommendations and the Governor’s approvals, leading to a significant positive impact on governance and service delivery.
